The short version

Every test on this site runs inside your browser. Key presses, microphone audio, and anything shown on your screen are processed locally and never transmitted to us or anyone else. We don't have accounts, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't sell data. We couldn't, because we don't collect it.

Test data

The keyboard tester reads key events only while the page is open and keeps them in page memory. The microphone test and webcam test ask for access through your browser's standard permission prompt. The audio and video streams exist only in memory on your device, are never recorded to disk or transmitted, and are discarded when you leave the page. The gamepad tester reads controller input locally through the browser's Gamepad API. The dead pixel test displays colors and keeps the findings you enter in a log on the page; it cannot see your screen. The screen resolution test saves one calibration record in your browser's local storage: the calibrated scale, the device pixel ratio, the reference card it was matched against, a record version and the time it was saved. The record stays on your device, and the tool's Reset button deletes it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy. We run no analytics at all. There is no beacon on this site, cookieless or otherwise. The site's Content-Security-Policy allows scripts and scripted network connections only from this site. Page requests reaching Cloudflare contain nothing from the tests themselves: key presses, audio, video and controller input stay on your device, as described above.
