Guides · Methodology & fixes

The deep dives behind the tools.

Every tool on this site tells you a number. These guides explain where the numbers come from, what causes the faults they reveal, and which fixes hold up — written to be checked against your own measurements, not just read.

How these guides are written

Each guide is anchored to a measurement you can run yourself with the matching tool, in your browser, with nothing uploaded. Claims are stated so you can check them — resting thresholds, standard dimensions, level targets — and where the honest answer is "it varies" or "that fix is temporary," the guide says so instead of promising magic.

Every guide names Device Bench as its publisher, shows its publication and review dates, and links the standards or platform documentation behind factual claims. The complete evidence, refusal, privacy, and correction policy is published in How Device Bench tests its browser instruments.
